ABOUT
When comparing all the biographies we read and write on Facebook, Myspace, perhaps our own websites, and yes, even Match.com, it quickly becomes clear that it’s difficult to describe ourselves uniquely. While every one of us is indeed unique, we’re limited to the same set of vocabulary to communicate it. We might choose words that describe ourselves well, but might conjure a completely different connection for others. So I made a list instead.
Take a look at the list to the left (I obviously attended class on the day we learned about alliteration). I hope you get a glimpse of what gets my motor running, how I feel about what I do for a living, or rather, my place in the world, and all the experiences it brings, both good and slightly less than desirable. You might think the last part of the list would be a glimpse of my hopes for the future, but it’s really meant to frame my appreciation for the more “Seinfeld-ish” things in life…or is it?
This is obviously just a snippet as that’s all a biography can be in comparison to spending time with someone. My hope is that after spending time on my websites, that snippet will grow into a more complete picture and that we’ll eventually get to cross paths. You might think the chances are too small, but even my expectations have been shattered by the number of colleagues, clients and friends that I’ve been fortunate to spend time with all over the world. In fact, I’m smiling as I recall meeting and photographing a bride in Italy, to learn that her parents live half an hour from me just outside of Portland. Believe me, it’s a SMALL world!
And, just as I sign off on e-mails…
Have a great day!,
Kevin
