I suppose this post isn’t so much about the photo which has been on my Facebook page a while, but more about some of the photographers that have inspired me since I was first bitten by “the bug.” Perhaps you’ll be inspired by them as well!
Back in 2001, I’d spend my Saturdays at Borders consuming coffee and everything photo related. After choosing a photography magazine, an instructional book and a collection of work from highly regarded photographers throughout history, the gorging would begin.
One of my favorites was, and …
This was a fun shoot…something new and different for me. A new challenge indeed with a little one included. But I’d say we did alright eh?!
It was a beautiful fall day, and the Kondo-Storfa home was full of windows which made for great lighting indoors.
Enjoy the pics and that cute face!
Here in the Northwest, it gets a bit rainy…just a bit. I decided to post something bright and sunny and trick my mind into thinking I’m at this wedding right now! In fact, thinking about the whole trip involved for this wedding, it was like a mini vacation for my brain. I hope it works for all of you too!
Robin and Brian were married at Brian’s parents beach home on Alamitos Bay in Naples, CA. I had great help from a friend of …
I like that last shot best. Dip shots are usually not that smooth.

Ben and Anna were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral and celebrated with friends and family at The Tiffany Center. Both of these locations have a common but very different trait…light! St. Mary’s Cathedral is bright and crisp. It’s a very clean look. On the other hand, The Tiffany Center is rich and dark, but has amazing window light that provides a moody glow.
Some of these photos were taken in front of Ben and Anna’s new home. I loved the way the classic Rolls Royce fit …

Get comfy! There are lot of photos in this one! Mandy and Evan were married near Roche Harbor on San Juan Island, WA. It was an extended weekend loaded with fun and I was fortunate to be a part of the whole thing.
Thursday consisted of an early evening BBQ followed by a late night bonfire near the water on Westcott Bay. Friday started with a basketball tournament and some tennis. After the rehearsal, Mandy’s sister, Katie, kicked things up a notch for everyone with an …

Absolutely the most wonderful wedding pictures I’ve seen! They captured the moments exactly and I feel like I’ve just gone back to their wedding.
What treasures!
That is such a gorgeous wedding, and the photography is wonderful. But when I got to that final photo, I just said “wow” out loud to myself. It perfectly captures the feel of the Northwest setting. Elegant, unpretentious, connected to nature. Love it!
What a wonderful gathering of happy people!
The photography was absolutely terrific and the wedding site was beautiful.
Our congratulations and best wishes to Evan and Mandy for a long, happy life together.

Well well well…here’s a really colorful engagement session for you all! Chuck, Sophany and I hit downtown Portland looking for some great colors and textures. I’d say we were successful and in fact didn’t make any black and white conversions. We also had great light before the morning clouds burned off. Yes, I said morning. This was just before our hot streak so we decided to get out before the sun could cook us. Have fun looking! And while you’re looking, look forward …

Get comfortable…there are a ton of photos in this post! It’s hard to summarize a destination wedding like this in one post. But that’s what I love so much about this new blog. I can post as many photos as I like without giving you all more stuff to scroll through to find other recent posts. It’s got a great big picture overview and leaves you the ability to choose what you want to see. Anyway…back to Vienna!
Dave & Sarah approached me at another wedding …

Kevin, this wedding is amazing! Fantastic lighting. I bet they are thrilled.
Thanks Jen! The room they were married in had a wall on one side and a bunch of big windows on the other, so there was incredible directional natural light. I was stoked to say the least.
Kevin, very unique images. You did an Amazing job.
Thanks Vlad! Hey, I thought that was a pretty cool bouquet shot on your blog…I like those lines with the cityscape in the back.
Amazing Shots, Kev. I loved the images down by the garden! You did a fabulous job!!!!

You’re a shining star Kevin! Beautiful work, spectacular setting and a lovely bride & groom. These images are gorgeous
Awesome work, Kevin! I especially like the dancing shots in the great ballroom. That chandelier is huge, and gives great perspective on the bride and groom!
You really captured the beauty and wonder of Dave and Sarah’s wedding. Excellent photography. Nice work!

UPDATED WITH AN ENTIRELY NEW POST…CLICK HERE
I’ve been up half the night due to the excitement. What could be so great?! I finally found personal finance software for Mac that helps me relate to my money the way I want to. Any Mac user will understand how awesome that is. After trying Quicken, iBank, Moneydance and others, MoneyWell has got me hooked! Here’s why I’m excited (both about the software and about my financial future).
Let’s start with a little commentary on personal finances for the …

Have you tried successwear? I am trying to find something and am leaning towards successwear but still not one hundred percent sure. Thanks!

I have…and within 15 minutes I was lost. It will do everything you would ever want for business, but I prefer to keep it more simple with Quickbooks. Again, that’s for business. I wouldn’t use MoneyWell for biz, but it’s incredible for personal.
I’m downloading it right now…I’ll let you know my thoughts.
Insightful and passionate post! Thanks for the tip.
