With the onset of great weather comes great engagement shoots! Cherry trees are in blossom, flowers are blooming…and for some reason the only other thing that comes to mind is the movie Bambi, so my last item for this list is that people are twitterpated. And for you youngins, that’s not a reference to a fondness toward a certain new technology.
Here are some photos from what is still one of my favorite engagement shoots. Ben & Adrianne wanted to go wine tasting in the Dundee Hills, which …
WOW they definitely worked it!! great shots Kevin!
Hey Deyla, thanks! They worked it for sure. They worked the wedding too…such a magazine looking pair.
What I love about your work, and this is especially true in this session, is that your able to really capture the emotion in a photo. It is present and authentic. The composition of your shots is also unique and refreshing, extremely accessible. And oh-so beautiful. Great job, Kevin! I look forward to working together again soon!
Hey Greg! Thanks so much. And thanks for referring Tanya. Looks like we’ll be working together again sooner than we thought!
Lookin forward to it.

I remember scanning my junk email one day and seeing something about Paradisus Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in one of the subject lines. I figured it was a financial scam of some sort so I quickly moved on. A few days later, I received a phone call asking if I’d had a chance to check my availability for the date mentioned in the email. Umm, what email? Cripes! The one that was sorted into my junk box. I’m SO happy Ben called …

A while back, a friend of mine was in the hunt for a job in sports modeling. It was fun to get out and shoot something so different. We headed down to a few areas around the East Side Esplanade and the Willamette River. It turns out the weather was perfect and the sky was just right. Of course if you ask Amy, she might have another opinion about shooting on a cold and mostly cloudy day. hah

Here’s a great wedding from this summer. Nick and Lianne had their wedding at Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast on a nice warm summer day. I like that they chose bright colors to match the weather and location. The other really cool part, is that because of a late spring, Mt. Hood was still perfectly snow capped clear through July! Some of the photos show a lot of lens flare, which really adds to the bright sunny feel of that day.
I hope you enjoy the photos! …

This wedding was a lot of fun for me. Alicia is one of many in a group of friends whose weddings I’ve photographed. That string of brides started with a wedding almost three years ago! You might remember the wedding at Oregon State University that was on my old website? And somehow I always see my cousin and aunt at these weddings.
Tyler and Alicia own an organic farm, Afton Field Farm, and therefore worked a lot of that into their wedding. I must tell you …

Amazing! I love-love-love the new work, the still life with the dress is fantastic as is the detail of the rings. Great shooting as always.
Kevin, your photos are amazing. Simply amazing.
Thanks! Although, I must give thanks to my assistant Mark Galligan for setting up that ring shot.
Hey Marianne, thanks for the kind words! And thanks for stopping by.

Here’s a cool thing to share with all of you. Some of Portland’s best photographers have joined forces! We all face the same issues as small business owners so we decided to start a collaborative blog in the spirit of helping each other gain more exposure (ooh…bad pun…definitely not intended). hah
It’s already been a great resource in a number of ways. One stop shopping for brides. One stop inspiration for each of the contributing photographers. I can see already that there is a huge …

Ahhh, it feels like a new era for Kevin Meyers Photography! So what does a person do to convey that? Why they build a completely new website with all new work and features of course!! I’m really excited for this launch and all that it means for me, my clients, other photographers and all interested people.
Since my last web update I’ve stretched my legs a bit shooting weddings around the country and abroad. Being able to showcase that work and capture the attention of discerning brides …

Once again Kevin you have upped the bar. An idea pops in my head, I search for examples and there you are….again. You are always cutting edge. But not only that, your warm, humorous and engaging personality shows through in your writing. Fabulous site! I am envious – so much talented in one man.
Hey Joni! So I hit the mark…I was hoping to create a blog where that could happen.
Thanks for the kind words. What is your idea? Let me know if I can help.
